Nick and I became friends in the first few weeks of university, and I met Mrs Arvanitis in the Christmas holidays of 1986. She always welcomed me, and all of Nick's other friends, into her home with the greatest of warmth and kindness, tolerating our comings and goings and always making time for us. We kept in touch in the years that followed and I am so glad that she met my husband and daughter. She was truly lovely. Much love to Nick, John and Matt, Ramona xxx
