Phil & Lisa 29th December 2020

Elspeth has always been in my life. When I was younger, quite a few trips were made to Finchley each year for happy family gatherings together... she was the Auntie that I never had (by blood). The nicest Auntie anyone could ever wish for. Some of my fondest memories involve really happy times spent with Nick, John and Matt... very loud family dinners, playdough at the kitchen table, walks on the heath :) Many years later, Elspeth helped me to get ready on my wedding day, her gentle personality calming my nerves. Then a few years into our married life Phil & I moved to Hampstead to run a newsagent, and once again Elspeth was more frequently in our lives again... and such a welcoming presence, where we knew nobody having left our families behind in Oxfordshire. We spent more happy times together, and our new puppy was warmly welcomed too... unfortunately digging up Elspeth's lovely garden whilst we visited! So many memories. Elspeth was such a gentle, sweet and truly kind lady... I am honoured to have had her in my life. Heaven has gained a true angel. Rest in Peace Elspeth. Sending our love to Nick, John, Matt and your families. You are in our thoughts and prayers. xx
