Elspeth and I were neighbours in Heath View and we met some 50 years ago when our children were at play group together. Lia, Mic and Daniel were similar ages to Nick, John and Mathew. We spent many happy times together, crammed into the back of our minis for days out at Kenwood or to actives such as swimming lessons, tennis, Cubs and football. As a young girl Elspeth traveled the world. She was always ready to embrace new ideas and new challenges. She even learnt to speak fluent Greek. She was a wonderful friend, a good listener always ready with a word of advice or encouragement. There was nothing like our endless chats over numerous cups of tea and cake. Thoughtful and kind an inspirational mother who raised three men who are a total credit to her. She is greatly missed by us all.
